This month would have been my son’s 43rd birthday. He passed away when he was 32 years old from a drug over-dose. He was m○lested by a neighbor who was a gym teacher and coach at our local high school & attended a local church. My son was 10 years old… he didn’t tell us until he was an adult… he struggled with addiction from the time he was a teenager… this is the long-term damage that this kind of abuse plays in the life of a child! They carry it with them through their entire lives! It took our son from us over and over again through addiction and recovery year after year until it took him from us forever! Please do not trust anyone with your most valuable possessions! If they were a bag of precious jewels worth millions of DOLLARS, would you trust a neighbor or coach to have access to them without you present?! Would you let them go to sleep-overs where you didn’t know if an older sibling, uncle, or cousin might come by and have access to those gems? If i had known then what i know now, i would never have let my child go inside another person’s house! Never! Please take care of your children and grandchildren because they really are your most precious jewels! You really can never really know a person…
