Newport News Police arrest Jamar Davis in fatal shooting of 15yo and for possession of child porn

Newport News Police say a man is behind bars in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old. He is also facing five counts of Possession of Child Pornography. 24-year-old Jamar Miguel Davis faces charges of Second-Degree Murder, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.

Around 8:30 p.m. on November 30, 2025, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of Lance Drive. At the scene, officers found a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he passed away on December 2. On December 15, Davis was taken into custody on the aforementioned charges. #News #Crime #va
