Michael David Booth aka Mr. Crafty Pants arrested on child pornography charges in Kentucky
A popular influencer, Mr. Crafty Pants, is facing child pornography charges. According to WDAM, a source close to the investigation confirms that Michael David Booth is Mr. Crafty Pants.
The majority of his videos focus on arts and crafts tutorials using smart cutting machines. Crafty Pants has amassed more than half a million subscribers on YouTube.
According to an arrest report, police began investigating in August when a Kik account reportedly shared child porn images. The report indicates that the account was linked to Booth’s residence.
Investigators say three files depicting minors under the age of 12 and three files depicting minors over the age of 12 but younger than 18 were linked to Booth. He is accused of distributing those files more than 15 times.
On Thursday, Booth appeared in court and received a $100,000 bond. Should he be released, he would be placed on home incarceration and he would not be allowed to have Internet access.
