Former Evolve Bank CEO Robert “Bob” Hartheimer is expected to plead guilty in January 2026 to federal child exploitation charges stemming from an October arrest. Hartheimer allegedly communicated with an FBI agent posing as a 15-year-old on Grindr, discussing sexual activity and arranging a meeting. The charges include attempting to produce child pornography and coercion and enticement of a minor. If the plea agreement is accepted, Hartheimer could face 15 to 30 years, potentially a life sentence, for the pornography charge, and 10 years to life for coercion. Hartheimer’s attorney declined to comment. His plea hearing is set for January 5.
