Community Stunned With Child Pornography Arrest

TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, N.C. — A disturbing case of child pornography has led to the arrest of a Transylvania County man, and investigators say more arrests could be coming.

Robert Lamb, 28, is charged with third degree sexual exploitation of a minor, felony solicitation of another to commit a felony, felony sell and delivery of schedule II controlled substances and maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substances.

Investigators say a concerned citizen came forward alleging Lamb used the computer to find images of children engaged in sexual activity with adult men and women.

Lamb‚„s arrest warrant alleges he kept visual images and video of children engaging in sexual activity. According to a search warrant, he used the ‚“casual encounters‚ section of Craigslist to solicit others using the alias “Ezra”.

Lamb’s employers says this is not something they would have suspected.

‚“Shocked. Yeah. Shocked. It’s very shocking,‚ Keturah Orr and Carolyn Bane said. The pair run the Phoenix Lounge in Brevard and say Lamb worked there as a waiter for about 6 months.

Transylvania County Sheriff David Mahoney says an undercover officer helped break the case including a charge that Lamb used his home on West Main Street in Brevard to keep and sell the prescription drug Adderall.

Sheriff Mahoney says all the charges are related.

Neighbors say they had no idea of Lamb’s alleged heinous activity detailed in court records.

‚“He was just so…well he was very outgoing,‚ neighbor Jerry Robinson said.

Lamb is in jail on $140,000 bond. He‚„s scheduled for his probable cause hearing Nov. 18.
