⚠️ Police don’t send arrest threats by email.These are FAKE phishing scams. Stay alert! #news #viral
Receiving emails claiming to be from Police / CBI / Court?
Accusing you of crimes & threatening arrest in 24 hours?
These are phishing / intimidation scam emails.
🚩 Major Red Flags (Proof they are fake)
Fake email IDs
officeofthecommissionerofp@gmail.com
@cyber-wizard.com
@kimberamerica.com
@magenta.de
👉 Indian Police / CBI / Courts NEVER use Gmail or random foreign domains.
Official emails always end with .gov.in or .nic.in.
Police & Courts DO NOT email threats
No police department sends:
Arrest threats by email
24-hour ultimatums
“Respond or face jail” messages
No FIR / Case number verification
Real notices include:
Police Station name
Jurisdiction
FIR number traceable online
Physical summons
These emails use made-up references to scare you.
Scare tactics used
Child pornography accusations
“Your IP has been tracked”
“CBI is monitoring you”
“Up to 5 years imprisonment”
👉 This is classic cyber extortion psychology.
Poor legal language
“juvenile pornographic movie cyber”
“registration as a sex offender from a website”
Mixed US + Indian law terms
Wrong designations (e.g., “Chief of Police” – not an Indian title)
Attachments like IN-ORDER.jpg
Police do not send court orders as JPG images.
This is often used to push malware or force replies.
Marked as Spam by Gmail
Gmail already flagged one as Spam — strong indicator.
⚠️ IMPORTANT ADVICE
❌ Do NOT reply
❌ Do NOT download attachments
❌ Do NOT share personal details
✅ Mark as Spam
✅ Optionally report to cybercrime.gov.in
If police really had a case: 👉 They would come physically or send a signed notice by post or official portal.
