Let me get this straight. Congress passes a statute by near-unanimous vote of both houses, and it is signed by the President. The statute requires release of the Epstein files, including perpetrators' names, with minor exceptions, by December 19, 2025. But Patel says he won't release the names because it is not his policy to release names of individuals who were not charged. I see. So when a law requiring release of names conflicts with a "policy" not to release the names, the law can be disregarded? The policy overrides the law? Where does it say that? That's not the way it works. What if I say it's my policy not to pay my taxes? Patel might as well just say it's not his policy to follow the law. Indeed, that is precisely what he has said.
