I thought you had to be engaging in a criminal act with someone else to share charges with them.
The best example and typical the most common is if me and you go to rob or beat up or even just threaten and "scare" someone and the co-party ends up killing the person we both get charged with the murder.
But just riding in the car shouldn't be enough I thought. Unless you're a getaway driver or riding shotgun at least.
If you have no idea a crime was about to take place at all that's wild.
