I feel so bad for Sheriff Moon, it's obvious he's having a very difficult time processing this news. I am very thankful this was discovered and treated accordingly. Being transparent with the citizens and the public is only right. Protecting our children and community has got to be a priority for everyone and those who won't abide by moral and man made laws should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. You can't fix or rehabilitae people like Christopher Thomason either. They get out, they do worse and more people are hurt. All children's lives matter, and our Sheriff's department and Mark Moon have bèen very proactive with various agencies in and out of state getting specialized training to catch these people. Unfortunately, Christopher Thomason worked within the department, but what he did is NOT who they are or what they stand for. So, please keep in mind they will be doing everything within the laws to make sure he is held accountable and our communities are safe. Support them and understand you would not want to be judged by your co workers behavior in the same situation. Pray for them, pray for the victims and their families and just be kind. There's too much anger and meanness in the world already, don't let this cause more division, and destruction. We have a opportunity to be supportive and realize how dangerous social media is to our children. Let this be something we can learn from, and let LE & the judge do their jobs. I work for the sheriff some time ago but not directly and I tell you according what theirs opinion inmates complain for the unjustice set up or deceive by evil doers and they serving life time probation prisons penitentiary sad case

You would be surprised at the things some of the people who wear that uniform are indulging in or are getting away with or are apart of not just in Blount county but surrounding areas also
