Watsonville man arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography

A Watsonville man has been arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography.

Watsonville Police Detectives began investigating Jose Rodriguez after receiving a tip from the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC). During the investigation, Officers served a search warrant at Rodriguez’s home on the 0-100 block of Holly Drive. Detectives were able to confirm that Rodriguez had explicit videos of children on his cellphone.

The 38-year-old was taken into custody outside his home yesterday afternoon and was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail. Rodriguez is now facing charges for possession and distribution of child pornography.

Un hombre de Watsonville ha sido arrestado por posesión y distribución de pornografía infantil.

Detectives de la Policía de Watsonville comenzaron a investigar a José Rodríguez después de recibir información del Grupo de Trabajo de Delitos de Internet contra Niños de Silicon Valley (ICAC). Durante la investigación, Oficiales ejecutaron una orden de registro en la casa de Rodríguez por la cuadra 0-100 de Holly Drive. Detectives pudieron confirmar que Rodríguez tenía videos explícitos de niños en su teléfono celular.

El hombre de 38 años fue detenido afuera de su casa ayer por la tarde y fue ingresado en la Cárcel del Condado de Santa Cruz. Rodríguez ahora enfrenta cargos por posesión y distribución de pornografía infantil.
